Workers put up a poster showing Chinese sporting hero's in a Shanghai subway station as the city gears up it's support for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, 31 January 2007. China recently denied that its rapid emergence as a sporting powerhouse had upset the outside world and triggered a "war" with frightened rivals ahead of the 2008 Olympic Games.
