SERBIA-KOSOVO-STATUS-TALKS-AHTISAARI
UN special envoy Martti Ahtisaari (L) meets with a Kosovo negotiation group, 02 February 2007. Ahtisaari delivers today a plan to leaders in Belgrade and Pristina on the future status of Kosovo that is expected to pave the way for the independence of the ethnic Albanian majority province of Serbia. Ahtisaari also appealed to Serbian and Albanian leaders to commit to new talks in order to achieve a compromise over the status of Kosovo.
