TURKEY-GERMANY-SCHROEDER
People living near the Iskenderun power plant welcome German chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, 24 February 2004 as he arrives to open the plant. The coal-fired power plant near Iskenderun is the largest German investment in the country costing 1,5 billion Euros. Schroeder arrived in Turkey late Sunday for a three-day official visit, which is the first of its kind in a decade.
