Indian scientist Dr. Madhusudhan Reddy (L) from the Centre for DNA Fingerprinting receives the Bio Asia 2007 Innovation award from Dr. K. V. Raghavan (R), Chairman, DRDO, New Delhi, at the valedictory session of Asia's Premier Boitechnology event Bio Asia 2007, at Hyderabad's International Convention C in Hyderabad 17 February 2007. The Federation of Asian Biotech Associations (FAB) and the Andhra Pradesh government along with the University of Hyderabad and the European Federation of Biotechnology are jointly hosting Bio-Asia 2007. The southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh expects investments worth Indian Rupees 7 billions by bio-tech companies in the genome valley on the outskirts of Hyderabad. AFP PHOTO / NOAH SEELAM
