(FILES) File picture of French presiding judge of the Bordeaux Assizes Court Jean-Louis Castagnède, taken 29 January 1998 during the trial of French nazi collaborator under the wartime Vichy government Maurice Papon. Jean-Louis Castagnède died of a heart failure at age 61 overnight 17/18 February 2007 on the same day of 96-years-old Papon. After a trial lasting six months, the longest in French legal history, Maurice Papon, former secretary general of the Gironde prefecture during the Occupation, was convicted on 2 April 1998 of complicity in crimes against humanity.
