UGANDA-CINEMA-WHITAKKER
(FILES) -- A file photo taken 17 February 2007 shows US actor Forest Whitaker, who plays Ugandan dictator Idi Amin Dada in the film "The Last King of Scotland", answering questions at a press conference ahead of the movie's African premiere in Kampala. Just days before Hollywood's elite gathers for this year's Oscars, Ugandans hailed 21 February 2007 best actor nominee Forest Whitaker's portrayal of former dictator Idi Amin in "The Last King of Scotland". But while viewers heaped praise on Whitaker's acting skills, many were quick to frown upon the forgiving light in which Amin, whose bloody eight-year reign left hundreds of thousands dead, was portrayed.
