NETHERLANDS-POLITICS-GOVERNMENT
Picture taken 22 February 2007 shows the new cabinet arriving to pose in front of the Huis ten Bosch palace. The Netherlands' Queen Beatrix appointed outgoing Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende 22 February as head of a new three-party centre-left government, following general elections in November. Balkenende, 50, and his cabinet posed for photographs in front of the royal palace after he had accepted the queen's formal invitation to lead a coalition also including the Labour party and the Christian Union.
