SENEGAL-VOTE-WADE

Wade, 80, is seeking a second term in Sunday's elections, is a veteran of African opposition politics. He created Africa's first "legal" opposition in 1974, according to his official biography. Wade is one of the initiators in 2001 of the New Partnership for African Development (Nepad) supposed to attract foreign investors to the world's poorest continent, but years later he admitted little concrete result.
