BRITAIN-POLICE-COURT
A British poilce handout image obtained 23 February 2007, shows 24 year-old John Laidlaw, armed with a gun, running past passengers at Finsbury Park underground station in London. Laidlaw was jailed for a minimum of 15 years by a court Friday for carrying out a shooting spree in London. Laidlaw, 24, shot Abu Kamara, who was going for a drink with friends after a badminton match in a north London street last May. Half an hour later, he shot at Evans Baptiste in a nearby underground train station but missed. Instead, Laidlaw hit 26-year-old Emma Sheridan, who had a bullet plucked from her back by a passing medical student. Laidlaw was found guilty at the Old Bailey court in London Thursday of three counts of attempted murder and two firearms charges.
