FILES - Picture taken 25 May 2006 shows German author, painter and a noted art collector Lothar-Guenther Buchheim posing in the Bavarian town of Bernried, southern Germany, during the fifth anniversary of the opening of the "Museum of the Imagination" (Museum der Phantasie) where he displayed his collection of Expressionist works. Buchheim, the German author of the international bestseller "Das Boot" (The Boat), published in 1973, and which became an Oscar-nominated film, has died at the age of 89, local authorities said 23 February 2007.
