In a fresh outbreak of killings in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, fourteen people have been killed in this weekend. Five people were murdered early 25 February, 2007 in a shantytown in Sao Paulo, following the murder yesterday of two couples in east Sao Paulo, four alleged drug trafficking leaders in a shantytown in west Rio de Janeiro, and a police inspector -alleged leader of a paramilitar militia- shot dead Friday also in Rio de Janeiro.
