Livingstone unveiled plans 27 February 2007 to cut greenhouse emissions in the British capital, in an example he and environmental groups hope will be taken up at government level. Livingstone's Climate Change Action Plan includes making homes more energy-efficient, persuading companies to turn off lights and computers at night, reducing transport emissions and encouraging local energy supplies.
