COSTA RICA-THEOLOGY-BOFF
Brazilian Franciscan father Leonardo Boff (L) one of the greatest exponents of the Liberation Theology, gives a lecture at the Costa Rica' University in San Jose, 15 March, 2007. Boff, who was silenced in 1985 by Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger --now Pope Benedict XVI--said that the development of the capitalist system might lead to the extinction of humanity. The Vatican on Wednesday took new aim at Latin America's broadly popular liberation theology, issuing a warning to one of its leading lights, Spanish Jesuit priest Jon Sobrino.
