AFGHANISTAN-US-POLITICS
A US soldier holds an Afghan child during a medical outreach mission in Kandahar, 15 March 2007. An ISAF team composed of 50 members of the U.S. 1st-508th Infantry, currently operating in the Ghorak District as part of Operation Achilles, conducted a Village Medical Outreach mission to assist the local population. The exact location of this medical outreach clinic cannot be revealed due to fears of retaliation against the local population by Taliban extremists in the area.
