US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will meet with her German counterpart, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana today for talks that may focus on ways to move the stalled Middle East peace process forward. The meeting comes as the United States is pressing the new Palestinian government to meet key international demands, saying it will deal with it if it agrees to forgo violence and fully recognize Israel.
