USTerence Madl crosses dunes, 30 March 2007, during the penultimate stage of the Marathon des Sables, about 350 kms south of Ouarzazate.The Marathon des Sables is considered to be the toughest foot race in the world, covering a distance equivalent to six marathons over six days through the southern Moroccan desert.
