INDIA-RELIGION-PALM SUNDAY
Indian Christian devotees stand with palm branches in Ranchi, 01 April 2007, as they await the arrival of The Archbishop of Ranchi, Cardinal Telesphore Toppo to take a Palm Sunday service. Palm Sunday is a moveable feast in the Christian calendar which falls on the Sunday before Easter. The feast commemorates the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem prior to his crucifixion. Toppo who was ordained in 2003 by the late Pope John Paul the second is the first Indian Adivasi or Tribal to be created a Cardinal. AFP PHOTO/STR
