BRITAIN-US-IRAQ-POLITICS-COURT-KEOGH-O'CONNOR
(FILES) A combination of pictures shows a British civil servant David Keogh (L) and researcher Leo O'Connor arriving at the Central Criminal Court in London, 18 April 2007. Keogh was found guilty 09 May 2007 of breaching the Official Secrets Act after he leaked an "extremely sensitive" memo detailing talks on Iraq between George Bush and Tony Blair. A jury at London's Central Criminal Court agreed with the prosecution that communications officer David Keogh unlawfully passed the four-page document to Leo O'Connor, a researcher for the anti-war Labour lawmaker Anthony Clarke. The memo, details of which were published in British newspapers in 2005, allegedly recounted how Prime Minister Tony Blair dissuaded Bush from attacking the Qatar headquarters of satellite channel Al Jazeera. Keogh was convicted of two charges of making a damaging disclosure without lawful authority under the Official Secrets Act. O'Connor, 44, was found guilty of damaging disclosure of a document passed to him illegally. AFP PHOTO/CHRIS YOUNG
