FRANCE-PPR-PUMA
French luxury goods group PPR chairman Francois-Henri Pinault (C) heads the group general meeting, 14 May 2007 in Paris. PPR announced today a friendly bid for the 72.9 pct of German sporting goods giant Puma's capital that it does not already own. PPR said the acceptance period for its offer runs until June 20 and that it expects to complete the deal by early July. The board reads : "A 2006 outstanding result". AFP PHOTO ERIC PIERMONT
