CUBA-US-POSADA CARRILES-SYMBOLIC TRIAL
Members of the Cuban Union of Young Communists (UJC) take part in a symbolic trial against anti-Castro militant Luis Posada Carriles, 14 May, 2007 in Havana. The so-called "Political Trial in an Anti-terrorism Court", set up to protest against the release of Posada Carriles in the United States, accuses the ex-CIA contractor of being involved in a series of terrorist acts against Cuba. Cuba and Venezuela have both demanded Posada Carriles' extradition, but US authorities refused, saying he might be tortured, and failed to find takers when they suggested sending him to a another country.
