BRAZIL-US-STANG MURDER-TRIAL
Brazilian rancher Vitalmiro Bastos de Moura (L), a.k.a. "Bida", listens 15 May, 2007 in Belem do Para, northern Brazil to the public prosecutor during his trial for the alleged murder of US-born missionary Dorothy Stang in February 2005. Brazilian authorities have accused de Moura with having paid two hitmen to kill Stang, 73, a tireless advocate for Brazil's poor and landless. In July 2004, Stang received the Para Citizen award for her work defending the Amazon and landless farmers. AFP PHOTO LUCIVALDO SENA-INTERFOTO-AE BRAZIL OUT INTERNET OUT
