LEBANON-EU-DIPLOMACY-SOLANA

Solana arrived in Lebanon to meet leaders of the two sides locked in Lebanon's political crisis, Prime Minister Fuad Siniora and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri. Solana told reporters the European Union wanted to help Lebanon resolve the crisis and tackle its economic woes once the bloodshed is halted in the north where the army has been battling Islamic militants since 20 May.
