FRANCE-CINEMA-CANNES-FILM-FESTIVAL-LE SCAPHANDRE ET LE PAPILLON
French actor and director Gerard Jugnot poses 22 May 2007 upon arriving at the Festival Palace in Cannes, southern France, for the screening of US director Julian Schnabel's film 'Le Scaphandre et le Papillon' at the 60th edition of the Cannes Film Festival. The film is in competition for the Palme d'Or film prize. Twenty-two films are competing for the prestigious Palme d'Or prize with nearly 1,000 non-competition movies from various countries shown during the festival which is celebrating its 60th anniversary, making for a packed programme attended by nearly 5,000 journalists and 10,000 industry types.
