FRANCE-CINEMA-CANNES-FILM-FESTIVAL-AUF DER ANDEREN SEITE
(From L) Turkish actress Nurgul Yesilcay, German Turk director Fatih Akin and Turkish actress Nursel Kose pose 23 May 2007 upon arriving at the Festival Palace in Cannes, southern France, for the screening of their film 'Auf der Anderen Seite' (The Edge of Heaven) at the 60th edition of the Cannes Film Festival. The film is in competition for the Palme d'Or film prize. Twenty-two films are competing for the prestigious Palme d'Or prize with nearly 1,000 non-competition movies from various countries shown during the festival which is celebrating its 60th anniversary, making for a packed programme attended by nearly 5,000 journalists and 10,000 industry types.
