(From 3rdL) German actress Hanna Schygulla, Turkish actresses Nurgul Yesilcay and Nursel Kose, Polish actress Patrycia Ziolkowska, Turkish actors Baki Davrak and Tuncel Kurtiz and German Turk director Fatih Akin pose 23 May 2007 next to Cannes Film Festival director Thierry Fremaux and Cannes Film Festival President Gilles Jacob at the Festival Palace in Cannes, southern France, prior to the screening of their film 'Auf der Anderen Seite' (The Edge of Heaven) at the 60th edition of the Cannes Film Festival. The film is in competition for the Palme d'Or film prize. Twenty-two films are competing for the prestigious Palme d'Or prize with nearly 1,000 non-competition movies from various countries shown during the festival which is celebrating its 60th anniversary, making for a packed programme attended by nearly 5,000 journalists and 10,000 industry types.
