The major US stock indexes were higher 25 May 2007, lifted by a fresh round of takover news and rebounding after some sharp losses in the prior session. Driving the market was news that beverage giant Coca-Cola was taking over energy drinks maker Glaceau, for 4.1 billion dollars and the Nasdaq stock exchange unveiled a 3.7-billion-dollar bid for OMX which runs seven Nordic and Baltic exchanges.
