A Pakistani motorcyclist rides past burning tires set alight by an angry mob in Karachi, 05 June 2007. The demonstrators protested against frequent and unannounced load-shedding by the Karachi Electricity Supply Corporation (KESC) in the city. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and KESC signed an agreement to provide the Corporation with a USD 150 million loan to help increase power supply and coverage in Pakistan's biggest city and industrial and commercial heartland, Karachi, according to press reports.
