French President Nicolas Sarkozy (R) and French Higher Education and Research Minister Valerie Pecresse (3R) listen to researchers and professors as they visit the Paris Industrial Physics and Chemistry Higher Educational Institution (ESPCI), 05 June 2007 in Paris. Sarkozy came to unveil a tablet in tribute to 1991 Nobel price laureate French physician Pierre-Gilles de Gennes, who died last May 18 aged 74. De Gennes was also a former director of the school.
