(FILES)The night sky is illuminated by concrete teepee-shaped motel rooms at Wigwam Village on Route 66 in Holbrook, Arizona, in this 10 July 2003 file photo. The village opened in 1950 serving travellers on the road connecting Chicago to Los Angeles. America's famed Route 66 and archeological sites of Iraq were among the world's most threatened cultural treasures, according to a list published 06 June, 2007 by a US-based heritage group. The World Monuments Fund's 2008 watch list includes 100 sites from around the world deemed at risk from man-made threats such as climate change, conflict, urban development and unchecked tourism.
