Chinese workers put the finishing touches to a German owned Adidas sports store that will soon open for business in Shanghai, 13 June 2007. Trade tensions between China and Europe flared again as the EU warned against popular backlash against soaring Chinese exports and Beijing rebuffed European concerns. The Chinese Government said the country pays full attention to trade deficit and that Beijing was proactively seeking ways to enlarge imports from Europe citing the example of efforts to buy Airbus aircraft or European-built nuclear power plants.
