(FILES) - Photo taken in the office of their bank Rue Laffitte in Paris shows Baron Guy de Rothschild (C) with Baron Elie de Rotschild (L)and Baron Alain de Rotschild (R). Guy de Rothschild, patriarch of the French banking family and an influential behind-the-scenes figure in the Gaullist politics of the 1960s and 70s, died 12 June 2007 at the age of 98, his family announced 13 June. Born in 1909, Rothschild inherited the family banking business in 1949 after serving with Charles de Gaulle's Free French in World War II. AFP PHOTO FILES
