SWITZERLAND-ENERGY-SOLAR-ENVIRONMENT-BOAT
The world first living space solar boat available to individuals is seen on this picture taken 13 June 2007 in the lake of Gruyere. A company, MW-Line, located in the village of Yvonnand, West of Switzerland is merchandizing an ecological yacht working with batteries exclusively powered by the sun. It is the first time in the world that this kind of vessel is available to yachtsmen. The 8.5-meter-long “Aquabus” features a four-bunk cabin, kitchenette and a small bathroom. The cabin’s roof is covered with solar panels supplying the batteries with renewable electricity.
