Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe gives an interview at his office in Tokyo 22 June 2007. Abe said he would bear "great responsibility" for a setback in elections, which he delayed by a week until July 29. In the face of slumping approval ratings, Abe's coalition led by his Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) is projected in polls to lose seats and possibly its majority in the upper house of parliament in the election.
