FRANCE-MUSIC-NOUGARO
Pallbearers carry the casket of late French singer and poet Claude Nougaro, followed by his son Pablo (second/L/background) and his wife Helene (R) outside the Saint-Sernin basilica in Toulouse, southern France, 10 March 2004 during the funeral ceremony attended by some 10,000 people. Nougaro died at his Paris residence, 04 March at age 74. In a career of nearly 50 years during which he recorded 20 albums, Nougaro developed a jazz-influenced style to deliver lyrics that mixed emotional sensibility with rich humour.
