ATHLETICS-ITA-DOPING-GIBILISCO-FILES
(FILES) Italian Giuseppe Gibilisco jumps during the men's pole vault event at the Athletics European Cup 2005 in 19 June 2005. The Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) asked 06 July 2007 a two-year ban for Gibilisco. On 05 July, Italian pole vaulter Gibilisco was interviewed by anti-doping officials for a second time after opting to remain silent at his first hearing last month. The 2003 world champion is suspected of either taking or attempting to take banned substances. An Olympic bronze medallist in 2004, Gibilisco is also accused of having ties with Italian doctor Carlo Santuccione, who allegedly supplied athletes with doping products.
