French president Nicolas Sarkozy (R) drinks a coffee during a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in the prefecture garden at Toulouse, south-western France, 16 July 2007, during an informal summit. They have to decide who will run the troubled European aerospace group EADS and its main division Airbus. The European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company is currently headed by French and German chairmen and chief executives, an arrangement often blamed for slow decision-making and ineffective management.
