French president Nicolas Sarkozy (2nd R) and German Chancellor Angela Merkel give a joined press conference at Airbus A380 factory during a informal summit to decide who will run the troubled European aerospace group EADS and its main division Airbus, 16 July 2007 in Toulouse, southwestern France. The European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company is currently headed by French and German chairmen and chief executives, an arrangement often blamed for slow decision-making and ineffective management.
