A man looks 14 November 2002 at a Dutch artist M.C. Escher's artwork, displayed at the Escher Museum in The Hague, Netherlands. Scientists say, it was announced 15 July 2007, that they have cracked a nearly eight-decade-old riddle involving the Moebius strip, a mathematical phenomenon that has also become an icon of art. Popularised by the Dutch artist M.C. Escher, a Moebius strip entails taking a strip of paper or some other flexible material. AFP PHPTO/ROBIN UTRECHT ** NETHERLANDS OUT **
