MACEDONIA-WEATHER-HEAT-FEATURE
A man cools off from a watering hose in the centre of Skopje, 20 July 2007, during the heatwave that gripped the Macedonian capital for the third day, with temperatures climbing up to 42 degress centigrade. The government declared a state of emergency on Thursday, and the health authorities issued alerts for the chronicaly ill and warned against staying in the sun.
