People point to billowing smoke from the resort of Stira, on the island of Evia, northwest of Athens, 23 July 2007. A firefighting plane crashed in southern Greece , killing both crew members, authorities said Monday. The Canadair tanker crashed into a hillside amid thick clouds of smoke on the island of Evia, outside the resort of Stira, the Fire Service said. A blaze near the resort threatened homes and forced the evacuation of several hundred residents. AFP Photo Takis Takatos
