SPACE-EUROPE-ARIANE
A picture released by the Spatial Center of French Guiana (CSG), shows an Ariane 5 rocket blasting off, 14 August 2007 in Kourou, to put into orbit Japanese and US telecommunications satellites. The Spaceway 3, built by Boeing and operated by Hughes Network Systems, is the first element of a new network to provide multimedia services including video on demand across North America. The BSAT-3A, built by Lockheed Martin, is to provide television coverage for the Japanese operator B-SAT Corporation. Arianespace plans six launches of Ariane 5 rockets this year. AFP PHOTO / CSG
