BELGIUM-TRIAL-DUTROUX
Convicted paedophile, Marc Dutroux sits in the dock during his trial at Arlon-s courthouse, 15 March 2004. Dutroux, 47, is on trial alongside three other people - his ex-wife, a former drug addict friend and the fraudster, 62-year-old Michel Nihoul, over a spate of abductions, rapes and murders in the mid-1990s. In testimony last week Dutroux tried to paint Nihoul as the "ringleader" of a shadowy gang of paedophiles who abducted and raped girls to order.
