PHILIPPINES-TAIWAN-AIRPORT-TYPHOON
Four ATR72 turbo prop aircraft evacuated by Trans Asia Airlines from Taiwan are lined up at the Subic Bay International Airport, north of Manila, 18 August 2007, after they were found in from the island due to Typhoon Sepat. Nineteen planes from Taiwanese airlines were evacuated to the Subic airport in the northern Philippines 17 August to save them from the approaching typhoon "Sepat", officials said. Seven MD-80s from Far Eastern Air Transport, eight Airbus and ATR-72 planes from Trans Asia Airlines, two Embraer 190’s and two Fokker 100’s from Mandarin Airlines all arrived at the former US Subic naval base, which has been turned into a freeport and light industrial zone.
