Demonstrators display portraits of missing political activists during a rally at the Makati financial center suburban Manila, 20 August 2007, as the country prepares to mark the death anniversary of political opposition, former Senator Benigno Aquino who was assasinated at Manila airport upon his return from US exile in 21 August 1983 during the regime of late dictator Ferdinand Marcos. Like the killing of Aquino that demonstrators blames on Marcos and the military the cases of recent disappearances and the extrajudicial killings of the activists they blame on President Gloria Arroyo and the military.
