GUATEMALA-CAMPAIGN-COLOM
Guatemalan presidential candidate for the National Unity for Hope party, Alvaro Colom, waves from a helicopter 25 August, 2007 during a visit to the locality of Hierbabuena, municipality of Palencia, north of Guatemala City. Elections in Guatemala will be held on September 9th and the two leading candidates -social democrat Colom and right-wing Otto Perez- will have to face in a run-off vote in November, if none of them reaches the 50 percent required to be elected.
