BRITAIN-SOUTH AFRICA-PEOPLE-MANDELA-STATUE
A statue of the former South African President Nelson Mandela is unveiled in Parliament Square, in central London, 29 August 2007. The 2.7 metre (nine foot) bronze sculpture will take its place in Parliament Square alongside figures including Britain's Second World War leader Winston Churchill and 19th century United States president Abraham Lincoln.
