Italy's tax authorities were recently investigating the seven-time motorcycling world champion for possible undeclared earnings of 60 million euros from 2000-2004 who could be forced to pay 112 million euros in back taxes, fines and interest. The 28-year-old Rossi has been a British resident since 2000 and allegedly did not declare revenues from sponsorship or his team to either British or Italian authorities between 2000-2004. "I'm calm because everything was done within the law. But if it turns out after the appropriate checks that something is wrong, I'll be accountable," Rossi said at the San Marino Grand Prix, local media reported on Friday.
