PAKISTAN-POLITICS-SHARIF
Pakistani policemen carry an injured colleague during a clash with supporters of former Pakistan prime minister Nawaz Sharif in Attock, some 70 kilometers west of Islamabad, 10 September 2007. Sharif was sent back to exile in Saudi Arabia, hours after he returned home vowing to topple President Pervez Musharraf, the man who ousted him eight years ago. Police detained the 57-year-old Sharif on corruption charges on his arrival at Islamabad airport following a tense standoff involving his passport.
