GERMANY-US-EU-IT-MICROSOFT-FILE
(FILES) A file picture taken 14 March 2007 shows a man walking in US software giant Microsoft's stand at the CeBIT computer, digital IT and telecommunications fair at the fair grounds in Hanover, central Germany. Microsoft was dealt a major blow 17 September 2007, losing a landmark EU antitrust case at Europe's second-highest court, which upheld a record 497-million-euro (690-million-US dollar) fine imposed by the European Commission in 2004. The tribunal confirmed the commission's 2004 anti-trust finding that Microsoft had used its 95-percent share in operating systems in personal computers to crush rivals in other linked markets.
