JAPAN-ECONOMY-BANK-RATE
The Bank of Japan (BOJ) Governor Toshihiko Fukui leaves a conference room after addressing the media at the bank headquarters in Tokyo 19 September 2007. The BOJ left its super-low interest rates unchanged for a seventh straight month amid worries about the fallout from credit market turmoil and domestic political upheaval. The BOJ policy board voted 8-1 to keep the overnight call rate at 0.5 percent. AFP PHOTO / Yoshikazu TSUNO
